Aija Zitcere has been the Director of Financial Market Policy Department at the Latvian Ministry of Finance since January 2017. At the same time, she is the Alternate Director at the Board of Directors at the European Investment Bank. Prior to this, she was the Deputy Director of Financial Market Policy Department as well as the Head of Financial Management Unit at the Latvian Ministry of Finance. She held various financial positions at the Ministry of Finance since 2002. She has a Master’s degree in Economics from the Riga Technical University and the Bachelor of Social Sciences and Business Administration from the University of Latvia.
