Rupert Schaefer is member of the Executive Board of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA and head of the Strategic Services division.

Previously, he led FINMA’s international affair and was involved in various post-crisis policy and regulatory initiatives.

Before joining FINMA, Rupert Schaefer worked for an international law firm, and in academia specializing in international and European economic law.
